Hikari exited the cab after paying the fares. She looked up at the building, reaching into her designer purse. She quickly removed her mask as well as Ed's, she had a feeling he would forget it again. She handed his over and fastened her mask on her face. The beautiful face was replaced by that of a rather realistic looking praying mantis face. Although it was animalistic, it was also elegant.

She lead ed down an alleyway next to the massive building and knocked briskly, five times. The door quickly opened and two men peered out at them, both faces covered by plain white masks. "Mantis! Welcome! Your parents will be thrilled to see you." She was ushered inside, taking eds arm again. The door was quickly locked behind them. The inside of the building was beautifully decorated, along with all of the patrons. A server wearing a black tuxedo and a matching white mask as the door guards lead them to a table, handing them menus. "Welcome back mantis, have you brought any humans for the entertainment section of dinner?" Hikari shook her head no. "I brought someone last time, you are only required to bring someone twice a month, but you already knew that. Please bring me a bottle of your finest B positive." Hikari said, dismissing the waiter.

She took a look over the menu. She glimpsed at Ed, wondering what he was thinking. "The veal is delicious, it's made from children meat. If you don't know what to get..." Hikari had planned on order the spaghetti which was made from intestines and eyeballs as the meatballs.

OOC: I don't mind seeing a romance sparking Razz

It was almost comical looking when Hikari stepped out from the cab followed by Ed. Their size difference couldn't have been more different. He took the offered mask, blushing as he would have otherwise forget it. Again.

Ed stared at the massive building as they walked towards it together. The door was soon opened for them and they entered. Everybody seemed to regonize Hikari, which wasn't much of a surprise. Her paren'ts did own the place after all. Ed was a bit surprised by the fact that Hikari lead him by holding his arm, but didn't bother mentioning it. He actually quite liked it.

As they were lead to their table, the pair got quite few looks. Some were because of Mantis, while others were because of her partner. It was hard not to miss Ed.

Ed looked through the menu. He couldn't pronouce half of things there were on it. He decided to go with the veal as Hikari had suggested when the waiter brought the blood and took their orders. ''This place is incredible. Your parents much be very rich'' Ed said as he looked around.

Hikari adjusted her mask so her mouth was showing so she could take a sip of the blood. "Yeah, my parents know how to make money, you simply take it from the humans." Hikari said softly. "My parents are with a bunch of elite human groups. They know who has money."

Hikari had earned the nickname mantis not only from her mask and kagune, but from her killing pattern. She normally only kills rich men. Her beauty and her parents status with the elite rich humans makes finding prey easy. But for some reason, she didn't want to tell Ed this.

The food arrived and hikari began to eat, using the silverware provided. "So after we finish eating we get to go to the entertainment part of dinner. I don't want to ruin the surprise for you."

OOC: Is it just me or are we like the only two rping here? Not that I'd mind it Razz

Ed followed Hikari and loosened his jaw guard to be able to take a sip of blood. It very tasty, much tastier than Ed had ever had. He drank the whole glass and poured some more for him. ''That is actually pretty clever'' Ed had only sometimes taken money from his victims but they weren't usually carrying lot of money.

When the food arrived Ed was surprised by the size of the food. It was... small. ''Is this all?'' he asked. He poked at the 'veal' couple times with his fork before taking a bite of it. The flavors exploded in his mouth. It was SO tender and juicy. Ed soon forgot his complaint. ''I've never eaten something this good! Is yours good as well?'' he said happily.

A surprise? Ed wondered what it could be. He was already surprised by the taste of the food. Was it going to be something even greater? ''I like surprises'' he simply said.

Hakari was glad Ed was enjoying himself. She picked up an eyeball off of the plate and looked at it, it was blue just like she ordered. She popped it in her mouth and chewed as she looked around the room. Everyone was heading to the arena for the show. She didn't want to interrupt her dinner with Ed so early though. All that was going on was everyone saying hello and being social right now anyway.

A waiter came up to their table and nodded his head. "Excuse me miss, I just have a message to deliver. Your parents will be expecting you in the suite in the arena, they asked me to invite you and your friend there to watch the show with them." Hikari sighed, she hadn't intended on meeting up with her parents tonight. The dining area was empty now and she stood up. "Very well, Ed it's time to go. My parents don't like waiting." She said a little bitterly.

They were lead by the waiter up several flights of stairs, and finally into a private room with a glass wall facing the arena, much like in baseball games. Inside were her parents, a tall strong looking man wearing a mask that resembled a king, and a petite older woman with a mask that resembled a queens face.

Ed noticed that the dining room emptying while they were eating. Perhaps it had something to do with the surprise Hikari had told him. He continued eating since Hikari didn't show any intentions to go with the crowd.

He could sense the discomfort from Hikari when the waiter came to bring the message. He got up and followed Hikari through the now empty dining room. Ed wondered what Hikari's parents would be like.

They were lead to a private room. It looked like it was fit for a king. The floor was made out of wood and it was covered by expensive looking carpets, the chairs looked very comfy and expensive. Everything in this room exuded class and money. In the middle of the room were Hikari's parents. Her father was tall and strong looking man, but he didn't match Ed in either of them. Her mother was a shorter and older looking woman. Ed gulped loudly before saying ''He-hello. My name is Ed'' He did an awkward bow. ''Thank you for inviting me''

Hikari removed her mask once the door was closed and locked, placing it in her purse. Her parents followed suit, but placed their masks on hooks on the wall. Hikari's father and mother returned the little bow and her mother smiled at Ed. "You don't need the mask in here dear, the windows are only one way. We can see out, but they can't see us." Hikari stayed silent, watching her parents. Her silence didn't stop them from trying to talk to her however. "Oh my darling Hikari, you look wonderful. You are starting to look like a real woman!" Her mother cooed at her. Hikari blushed and looked down.

''Oh'' Ed said and removed his mask. Hikari's parents seemed rather nice, so Ed was a bit confused why she didn't seem to like them very much.

Ed walked to the large window and looked outside. There was a large arena and people from the dining area were standing around it, clearly waiting for something. ''Why is that arena there?'' Ed had never visited ghoul restaurant so he had no idea what was about to happen.

Hikar sat down on the large couch in front of the window, motioning Ed over. "You'll see soon." Her parents sat at the other end of the couch, refined but excitement shining in their eyes.

It was then a loud, giddy voice filled the speakers. "Welcome ladies and gentlemen! I hope everyone enjoyed their dinners hmmm ~~" the voice was pleasant, yet condensending. A ghoul wearing a half mask had a spotlight shining on him. His black hair was slicked back and he wore a red velvet suit. He stepped up on a stool and smiled at the audience. "Well let's get too it then shall we?" He turned towards the arena stage as a human was dragged out into it. The human was a young man, tattoos covering his skin, his eyes wild with fear. "This specimen was brought to us today by Jaws, another lovely catch if I do say so myself, I personally love how tattooed flesh tastes ~~." The spotlight briefly shone on a ghoul wearing a shark mask, who nodded his head. The spotlight returned back to the announcer. "So quick notes on the human... He's a mixture of Asian and African American, a strict vegan - you health nut ghouls will love that - his body fat index is only 7%, he's very lean." The spokesman trembled slightly. "Ahhhh I'm drooling! Please bring out the chopper!!!" A large human - who held no emotion in his eyes clambered out on stage holding a large axe.

Ed moved away from the window and sat next to Hikari. The couch made a small creak when it suddenly had to support Ed's massive bulk. The noise made the large man blush, but others didn't seemed to notice the sound nor the blushing. They were all focused on the window.

Soon the announcement started. Ed watched closely as the announcer explained various things. Hikari and her parents looked calm, but there was certain excitement in their eyes. Once they announcer was done, the crowd started suddenly roaring, clearly cheering for the massive man carrying the axe.

The whole thing almost ended on the first strike. The man carrying the axe charged at the lean man, readying his axe for overhead swing. The tattooed man looked like a deer in the headlights, paralyzed by fear. He moved out of the way just in time as his fight-or-flight response kicked in.

There was a small amount of drool on Ed's mouth when he started to realize what was going on. ''Are we going to eat him once they are done?'' Ed asked Hikari while pointing at the window.

Hikari raised her eyebrow. "If you're still hungry then sure. That means we have to go down there." She stood up, applying her mask once again. She looked at her parents and nodded, implying she was leaving. She took Ed's arm and made sure he had his mask on before leaving the room. Two guards stood outside of their private room and hikari said softly, "We want to get closer. Please escort us to the first row." The guards nodded in agreement and lead them down another hallway to a door that opened to the arena.

Whispers began instantly, "that's mantis isn't it? Who is she with this time? Heheheh." Hikari ignored the remarks and kept her head held high as she strutted to the front row. The chopper had done a fine job of dismantling the human, and was getting ready to throw body parts to the crowd. Hikari leaned up against the railing, watching. She didn't intend on eating raw flesh, she preferred hers cooked.

Ed followed Hikari, placing his mask on as they went. He wondered why they had to wear masks in a place that was crowded with ghouls. ''Why do we need our masks here? Aren't all here ghouls?'' Ed asked as they were escorted by the guards.

People's heads turned as they entered. Ed was used to people staring at him so he didn't mind, but he noticed that people were paying more attention to Hikari than to him. He found it a bit odd.

As they reached to the front row, almost half of the body had been served to the hungry viewers. Both legs were gone as well part of an arm. The chopper opened the corpse's stomach like he was a pinata and tossed a liver in the direction Ed and Hikari were.

Ed caught the brownish organ, but there were others that tried to catch it as well. It was no surprise since liver was one of the tastier parts of the body. He simply pushed his rivals away and got few angry words and looks because of it. Ed let out a deep growl the scare them away before he took a bite from his prize. He then looked at Hikari who hadn't yet caught anything ''Would you like a bite?''

"We need masks in case the CCG show up, and honestly just because we are surrounded by ghouls doesn't make us safe." Hikari explained to Ed as she watched the show. She knew plenty of cases when fueding ghouls have turned each other in to the CCG.

When Ed offered her a bite she shook her head no. "I prefer my food cooked." It was then she noticed her ex boyfriend staring at the pair from across the room. She groaned loudly and looked down, feeling uncomfortable. He was tall and strong, wearing an expensive suit. His mask was a dark purple, with one eyehole being the moon and the other being the sun. So artsy. Hikari rolled her eyes remembering their relationship. He was mainly using her to get close to her parents. She suddenly felt slot better being there with Ed, she felt like he was a sheild of some sort.

It made sense. Even though there were hundreds of ghouls, the CCG could do a risky move to try and wipe them all out. Ed adjusted his mask so that it fitted better on him.

Ed shrugged his shoulders when Hikari declined the offer. More for me. He ate the rest of it whole with one giant chomp. Hikari then groaned for some reason and didn't seem very happy. ''What's wrong?'' Ed quickly asked. Perhaps she would have wanted a bite after all?

A tall man walked up to them ''Hello Hikari long time no see'' He looked at Ed ''Who is this? One of your targets? Didn't know you robbed ghouls nowadays as well'' he said with evil smirk.

Hikari quietly hissed when her ex boyfriend came over. He made a few smart comments and she shook her head at him. "You mean like how you used me to try to rob my parents?" Hikari said darkly, clenching her fist.

Hikari straightened up and crossed her arms. "I still enjoy eating other ghouls.... So I would stop fucking with me if I were you." She placed a finger on her chin. "Cause I'm more powerful than you'll ever be." She added with a laugh. She lowered her mask to expose her eyes - which were in ghoul form black and red.

''Oh that? That was just business'' Hikari's ex-boyfriend said and shrugged. ''No need to take it personally''

Ed felt like he was being ignored so he tapped Hikari's shoulder ''Who is he?'' It was now clear that this man wasn't really someone Hikari liked, but they seemed to know each other.

Before Hikari managed to answer, her ex-boyfriend did ''I'm her boyfriend, well ex'' His eyes shifted from Ed to Hikari and back to Ed before he started laughing ''Oh wait... Don't tell YOU are her new boyfriend!'' He said and pointed at Ed before turning to Hikari ''I wouldn't have ever guessed you had a thing for fatties''

When Hikari threatened her ex-boyfriend he simply said ''Is that supposed to scare me, you little bitch? I guess I have teach you some manners!'' He raised his fist and swung brutal haymaker towards Hikari's face.

OOC: let's have Ed play hero

Before her ex boyfriends attack reached her Ed literally grabbed his kagune and tossed him back a few feet. Hikari formed her kagune, the two deadly praying mantis arms, and had then posed and ready to attack.

The crowd were all watching, muttering. Hikari was immediately embarrassed. She looked up at the tinted box where her parents were no doubt watching. Her ex boyfriend noticed the attention too and clenched his fist. His kagune Dissapeared and he muttered, "This is over. You're lucky your elephant of a boyfriend was here." He turned and quickly walked out.

Hikari didn't pull away from Ed's touch. She was horribly embarrassed and shook her head sadly. "He's such an asshole." She spat, clenching her fist. "If we weren't surrounded by my parents friends i would have ripped him apart and ate his heart raw." Her leg started to tremble at the thought.

Hikari nodded and held her head up high. She bravely grabbed Ed's huge hand and led him out of the huge arena. She walked threw the hallways she grew up in, not bothering to even stop and remember fond memories.

When they were outside Hikari ripped off her mask and tossed it in her purse. Fire was in her eyes and she said darkly, "Let's go kill someone."
